Decided to try another weekly challenge as this one was a layout sketch and I’ve never done one – I’m pretty pleased with the turn out but I feel like this was a true “learning” experience as I tried to emboss my stampings and instead bubbled my picture of Zoe. I might reprint the pic and replace, but it’s not in a place that’s a huge problem. Just looks silly when I look at it.
Anyways, enjoy!

After hearing about how there is a new Tivo App for the iPad I was excited! Thrilled! I would even pay $10 for this app!
But I was let down when I found out that the Tivo App was only for users who have Tivo Premier. Having just purchased my Tivo HD device about a year ago I thought a letter to Tivo should let the company know how disappointed I am. Below is what I sent them:
While you have created an Ipad app for those with the tivo premiere I feel very cheated as a loyal customer who has 2 lifetime memberships. We just purchased the HD Tivo and *Barely* got it working with Time Warner Cable. How can you think that I would be willing to purchase *another* tivo device and know that I’ll get service through my cable provider?? I sing the praise of Tivo all the time – ALL the time. But the fact that you only allow Tivo Premiere users to have access to a staple of society truly makes me wonder if you care about your current members. And Yes, I know I can use special rewards and get a new box but unless you let me transfer the lifetime membership to the new device I will not purchase it. I am sorely disappointed in the direction the company just made – I always thought of Tivo as a progressive and cutting edge company, but now I just see it as money-hungry. Very disappointing.
I truly hope that Tivo remedies this oversight and begins allowing other tivo models to work the ipad app – and if you try and give me a line of BS stating that you can’t do that I’ll be selling my tivo devices to highest bidders.
Sincerely, Anna

This week is looking promising! The dishes are done, the laundry is done (although not folded), Zoe is sleeping and will later be getting help for her recurring ear-infections, and I made a card! ON MY NEW GYPSY! Woohooooooo. I was able to plan the card and design how it would lay out on the gypsy and then when Zoe took a nap today I went downstairs and cut it out and embossed it and glued it! Woot! Here’s the birthday card!
The rules for this card were to use the colors tan, burgundy, gray and orange and to use texture. The ribbon is more burgundy then pink – the box is a goldish-tan color so when I embossed it with dots I used orange ink to dot the paper
The background is gray and embossed with another cuttlebug folder (forgot the name). I used cuts from the gypsy cart Wandering. Pretty cool, huh?!
Okay to bed for this big girl!

I’m so excited to show off this recent creation! I LOVE how these turned out!! I made a little goodie bag for teachers that signed up for a delivery collection and made a cute tag to go on top of the bag. I inked a lot and stamped a little phrase – totally happy with the way it turned out!

Wanted to make a card for a weekly challenge for the Cricut Circle, so here’s my first attempt! It’s simple but I inked and embossed and used some jewels – almost all new things for me! I love how the keyhole turned out with the inking and I love the texture of the key from the embossing! Thanks for looking!

Do you know that song – “Luckiest” – it’s perhaps, one of my favorites and totally says how I feel about my mothers day. Even though I was thrown up on twice, dealt with a fussy-bucket of a daughter, and didn’t get a waffle – the day was excellent. I am so grateful for matthew and zoe and the rest of my family. I got to speak to my mom on skype and have dinner with Helen, Gene, Jon and Chieu. To wrap up the evening I spent time watching the videos of zoe that I had from Zoes birth on – it truly made my day.
Well now I have positive vibes to help me through this week!
Oh and I’m not sure why fb takes 2-3 days to grab my posts but feel free to use an RSS to follow my blog.

It has been 3 months since I had Zoe. Wow, 3 months. 3 months since I last worked, since Matthew and I were just a couple, and at least three months since I could sleep to my hearts content.
It’s been a crazy three months, that’s for sure. First was my attempts at having a natural birth – that didn’t happen – so surgery was it. Then it was welcoming this tiny baby into the world and trying to figure out how to breastfeed. Talk about pain!! Then simultaneously I dealt with a sick child (jaundice) and my own sickness (post partum depression). PPD was probably the scariest thing ever – how does a person, who loves all children, feel so ambilvalent towards her own child? It was most certainly scary. Thankfully I had some great family and friends who helped me through those first few weeks…and months.
And now that I feel comfortable with myself as a mom I am going back to work. Now I have to figure out how to be a worker and a mom – I think I can do it. We’ve been fortunate to find a great babysitter for Zoe – I’m so excited for Zoe to grow up with Leyna (our babysitters daughter) in her life…a pseudo big sister
But with work stuff I’ll have to relearn some things – mainly how to be speedy at my work, but I’ll also have the opportunity to change things too.
All in all I’m pretty excited to go back to work, yet sad to not have those special moments with Zoe. However, I am so happy she is in my life – I’m one very blessed mother

Yes, I realize it is May but I have finally decided on my goals for this year. I think in January the only goal I could see was to have a healthy baby. Since that’s been achieved I can think of other things!
So my goals for this year:
1) exercise regularly – my plan is to workout in the am after my 6ish zoe feeding, on the eliptical in the basement. As motivation I’ll get a tv series from netflix and only watch it when I exercise. I plan to start with numbers but will take suggestions for others.
2) drop 20 lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight – which would mean reaching the weight of 180 lbs. I think it’s a realistic goal.
3) do a walk (i guess a 1k but maybe a 5k – I don’t know the difference) and do it with my family (sorry matthew!)
I think that’s plenty for now – I want to put in things like ’scrapbook/knit/crochet more’ but really that’s easy for me to do – the challenge is to get myself into a habit of exercising.
I would like to blog more – that’s gonna be a mini goal
Night all!
